The vascular lesions were treatedin HKL (Hospital Kuala Lumpur; 1998 – 2008) and PCMC (Prince Court Medical Centre; 2009 – 2024).
There was atotal 231 new patients at HKL and 118 at PCMC.
In HKL, PWS (123 patients) was most common followed by pyogenic granuloma (34 patients), haemangioma (32 patients), and telangiectasia (19 patients).
In PCMC, telangiectasia (33 patients) was most common followed by rosacea (23 patients), PWS (22 patients), and keloid (13 patients).
Majority with PWSs showed lightening and none cleared completely.
Superficial and ulcerated haemangiomas and superficial telangiectasias responded well.
The overall response depends on type of laser used, patient factors, type and site of the skin lesion and most importantly, experience of the operator.
