GED is a clinical diagnosis accompanied with underlying condition like Eczema, Psoriasis, Mycosis Fungoides, Drug allergy etc.
Patient present with extensive generalized erythema, scaling, oedema. With defect skin barrier function, shivering, pain, and itch experiences that disrupt patient sleep.
It is important to identify and treat underlying aetiology. Nursing management through Topical treatment to recover skin barrier function. Education and counselling on Self-empowerment in managing skin to prevent complication, identify and control flare. Lastly, maintaining patient Quality of life.
