Optimizing outcomes for rosacea involves transitioning from subtype-based to phenotype-based treatment approaches, addressing individual features such as erythema, papules/pustules, telangiectasia, and phyma. Recent advances include novel topical and systemic treatments, repurposing existing dermatologic therapies, and combination regimens to enhance efficacy and prolong remission. Despite these advances, challenges remain, particularly in treating patients with skin of color or in a country with limited choices of treatment. Effective management requires personalized treatment plans, ongoing patient education, and maintenance therapy to prevent relapses and improve quality of life.
