Recognition of immune mediated photodermatoses, photoallergy and phototoxicity

Immune mediated photodermatoses consist of polymorphous light eruption, actinic prurigo, hydroa v hydroa vacciniforme, chronic actinic dermatitis, and solar urticaria.Common causes of photoallergy include UV filters and topical NSAIDs.Oncologic medications are now recognized as common causes of phototoxicity.These distinctive photodermatoses will be discussed.
